Day 05 :
Transfer to Nyungwe and Canopy Walk
Following a leisurely breakfast by Lake Kivu, you’ll continue your journey to Nyungwe National Park, home to Africa’s oldest rainforest and an incredible array of biodiversity. After arriving check-in into your lodge and enjoying lunch before embarking on the Canopy Walk. This suspended walkway offers a breathtaking view of the dense forest below and the wildlife within it. Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation in preparation for chimpanzee tracking tomorrow.
Today, you’ll rise early for a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience in Nyungwe’s dense forest. As you trek through the thick undergrowth, the sounds of the forest come alive, with the calls of the chimps guiding you to their territory. Return to Kigali

16. What is the cancellation policy for gorilla permits and the tour?
Gorilla permits are non-refundable once issued due to their high demand and limited availability. We recommend that you confirm your travel plans before securing permits. For other aspects of the tour—such as accommodation or transportation—cancellations are subject to our general policy:
- Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the tour date may be refunded, minus any non-refundable costs such as permits or deposits.
